Spare Parts Manager

Position Summary: The Spare Parts Manager is responsible for coordinating or handling all aspects of Dürr APT Spare parts business. Including but limited to delivering overall sales results, processing and soliciting of spare parts orders, attending to customer requirements, inquiries and associated DPS, etc. Candidate will need to manage personnel in a matter that fosters team atmosphere and have vision to improvement groups’ performance and operation as Dürr moves towards a greater digital image and One Dürr approach.

Your Tasks

  • Handle incoming calls to customer service

  • Gather customer orders from various e-systems

  • Assist in order entry and customer invoicing

  • Assist in aging spare parts invoicing

  • Issue annual new spare parts pricing to Automotive and Non-automotive customer base.

  • Develop and issue RSPL to new project customers.

  • Process and assist any Dürr web shop customer inquiries and orders

  • Follow through on all customers’ calls or inquiries

  • Direct phone contact with all customers: work with purchasing to expedite required parts for new and open purchase orders, obtain pricing, and obtain required information from manufacturing and/or engineering

  • Follow-up with logistics with regards to shipping, expediting deliveries and acquiring proof of delivery information

  • Assist inventory to accurately adjust and maintain safety stock levels

  • Handle any emergencies with the customers with the highest priority.

  • Manage personnel handling in-house customer warranty and repair operation, including RMA process.

  • Develop, foster and improve customer, supplier and manufacturer relationships

  • Support sales, proposals, project management, service, antennas and engineering regarding sell prices, costs and lead time of parts.

  • Execute customer or DSDE requests for data surrounding spare parts purchases or results.

  • Travel as required to address spare parts issues or sales.

  • Maintain current reporting files.

  • Initiate process for any new hire situations.

  • Manage after hour’s parts service and documentations.

  • Set, hold and lead monthly Spare Parts meeting, including distributing meeting minutes.

  • Manage and approve time sheets and expense reports as required and per-policy.

Your Skills

  • High School diploma required
  • 2 or more years of position related experience
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Familiar with Covisint and GXS Tradeweb
  • Good time management skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Effectively communicate with our customer base that delivers sales results.
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Adaptable to change in a learning environment
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Able to travel to Mexico and Canada.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision. Employee must be able to fly and drive.
