Your Tasks:
- Duties: Responsible for the engineering and commissioning of paint and sealing processes, including paths, film builds, and seams, using Durr’s proprietarily robotic automation systems; work on the Ecopaint Robot Painting Station and use knowledge of the same to assist our customers; responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, and work as part of a team to upgrade Dürr Robotic paint and sealing and gluing equipment; create, modify and/or commission paths for robotic paint and sealing applications, as well as software for robot controllers; integrate Durr material control technologies for paint and sealing into Durr engineer robotic systems, and integrate Durr robots into customer sites; optimize quality and cycle time using Durr proprietary tools including 3DOnsite and KemroScope; qualify the process against project specifications, adjust process parameters as necessary to meet specifications, and adhere to project schedule; utilize controls systems, process control & implementation, mechanical design, Siemens PLC, C++, MATLAB, Electronic Workbench, and AutoCAD Inventor to perform duties; throughout the duration of each project, communicate effectively with other project team members including the project manager, engineering staff, and customer; develop written information as required for operating manuals and other internal/external documentation; prepare and submit site status reports; assist the Service Department with software and hardware related problems; perform emergency service calls, as necessary; and work as part of a cross functional team and maintain a high ethical standard of conduct for all engineering activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
- Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Project Engineer, or in a related occupation;
- Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following: controls systems, process control & implementation, mechanical design, Siemens PLC, C++, MATLAB, Electronic Workbench, and AutoCAD Inventor.
- Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $111,426 per year
