Your Tasks

  • Assist in all aspects of daily Purchasing activities. 
  • Work within SAP on order entry, reporting and updating of delivery times from supplier acknowledgements.
  • Support activities related to Dürr’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tool
  • Support the Application Engineering department with pre-contract pricing research.
  • Research & price PE/ Service/ Commodity orders.
  • Contact vendor/supplier to verify shipment of goods by specified date.
  • Interface with Plant, Field, Engineering and Project Managers to assist solving problems with deliveries, short shipments, and damaged goods, merchandise shipped in error and coordinate changes in delivery schedules.
  • Assist with the resolution of Accounting issues/invoice discrepancies
  • Learn & apply domestic and international shipping terms to orders
  • Framework/ Price Agreements Maintenance
  • Review bids and create pricing comparison summaries
  • Negotiate final pricing
  • Attend and support project meetings
  • Support Purchasing management (e.g. w/ Standard Reports, Travel Management, Events Planning, etc.)
  • Willing to go to job site as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in a business related area (i.e. Engineering, Business) preferred
  • Working knowledge of automotive and industrial paint shop equipment and environmental equipment OR general construction management knowledge of at least 2 years
  • Purchasing experience (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical documents such as specifications and schedules (preferred)
  • Experience with schedule reporting / tracking (Microsoft project) preferred
  • Ability to read and understand contract terms & conditions and related commercial documents
  • Understand required sequencing and scheduling for equipment build on typical project (preferred)
  • Understand manufacturing processes and equipment used (preferred)
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Strong organization skills along with demonstrated ability to maintain office efficiency
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts
  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of SAP
