Your Tasks

  • Analyze customer technical specifications
  • Initiate sales strategy with sales and engineering input
  • Develop initial design and equipment selection
    • Electrical one-line diagrams
    • Customer specification
  • Initiate and develop electrical risk analysis
  • Coordinate in-house estimating activities including relevant drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate major subcontractors including scopes of work for  electrical installations and design
  • Developed Purchased Equipment lists
  • Develop detailed estimate spreadsheets for project and customer bid forms Investigate alternate sources for equipment and subcontractors
  • Develop technical specifications and clarifications for bids
  • Develop preliminary project schedule
  • Finalize project sell value with Salesman, Sales Director, Application Director
  • Coordinate job handover
  • Support job implementation by attending planning meetings, design reviews, etc.
  • Conduct technical presentations and provide clarification to customers and other departments
  • Develop and manage electrical proposal standards
  • Understand and provide engineering and strategic guidance on high specification customer base
  • Travel approximately 10%

Your Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in VOC Field / Environmental Engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process equipment design
  • Working knowledge of the various control system interfaces (AB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of NFPA, NEC, OSHA, API, IEEE, NEMA, ANSI, and ISO standards and regulations
  • Working understanding of VOC Emission Control Systems and Equipment (RTO’s, WESP’s, Concentrators, Scrubbers and PM Removal Systems)
  • Working knowledge of Combustion Systems  (natural gas, fuel oil and propane burners, propane evaporators, burner management systems and combustion blowers)
  • Working knowledge of Fans/Motors/VFD’sPerform engineering calculations
  • Ability to understand fabrication and field installation criteria and the ability to development preliminary scopes of work for outside pricing activities
  • Familiar with EPA test methods and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
  • Good time management skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
  • Adaptable to change in a learning environment
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
