Field Support Specialist

Your Tasks

  • Troubleshooting industrial equipment, working both 50% in the field and 50% in the office.
  • Troubleshooting can be hands on, or providing direction to company or customer Technicians
  • Reviewing upcoming projects, preparing technical information for Field Service Technicians to allow proper execution of the project
  • Participate in product development teams
  • Work as a liaison between the Customer, Sales, and Engineering staff
  • Developing technical documents defining how products are to be commissioned in the field
  • Coordinate the successful startup of field equipment
  • Provide training to customer and field staff on the proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned products
  • Investigation/problem resolution to customer concerns, including identifying corrective actions

Your Skills

  • A two-year technical degree in an electro or electro/mechanical field
  • OR extensive military training in electronics with 4+ years of post-military experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with 24v and 110v control circuits
  • Experience working with 480v industrial electricity
  • Experience reading technical drawings, schematics and manuals
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work 50% in the field and 50% in an office environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing technical support and direction to customers and fellow employees
Familiarity with commissioning and troubleshooting electrostatic precipitators, oxidizers, or industrial dryers;
Experience troubleshooting Rockwell and/or Siemens programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)
Knowledge of industrial burners
