Your Tasks:
- Manage coordination of Federal and State income taxes with external tax advisors
- Ensure full compliance with Sales and Use Tax regulations; prepare and file returns
- Maintain tax-related general ledger accounts and ensure accurate reporting
- Estimate and report quarterly tax liabilities and expenses
- Coordinate and file Foreign Tax / VAT with third-party firms
- Handle tax registration processes for additional states as needed
- Prepare and file annual property tax reports
- Maintain exemption certificates and complete annual reports as required
- Lead annual physical inventory counts in coordination with Logistics Managers across multiple plant locations
- Calculate and record monthly inventory obsolescence reserves
- Reconcile inventory accounts and report monthly inventory valuations
- Oversee additions and retirements of fixed assets, ensuring proper documentation and procedures
- Ensure compliance with capital appropriation policies
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and report fixed asset values monthly
- Mitigate exchange rate risks by executing foreign currency hedging strategies
- Calculate and report intercompany cash partner interest
- Coordinate payment runs and manages treasury system interfaces
- Monthly generation of financial statements (including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cashflow Statement) and reporting packages for local management and headquarters in Germany on an IFRS basis.
- Perform account reconciliations and support financial reporting as needed
Your Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency with SAP strongly preferred
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmen
Must be willing to travel 50% for the initial 4 to 6 months for onboarding and training. After the training period, travel is not expected.
