Your Tasks

  • Quality Control - Monitor and audit the quality of manufactured goods both in house and subcontracted
  • Quality Management Systems - Design systems by which production quality can be checked through an ongoing process. This includes maintaining a quality system compliant with ISO standards.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of suppliers and maintain proper documentation of inspection testing plans, material test requirements and supplier quality management programs.
  • Manage large scale QA projects when needed to include developing ITP’s and a QA plan, auditing suppliers and interfacing with customer.
  • Implement standards and develop performance measurements and reporting requirements that set quality metrics for each stage of the production process
  • Promotes a sense of purpose and pride in the maintenance of a Quality program throughout an organization.
  • Working with members of the supply chain to ensure the quality of raw materials, components or sub-assemblies meets the required quality standards. Agree on standards with suppliers and implement inspection processes to monitor incoming material. Monitor major suppliers’ quality performance and implement corrective and preventative measures to deal with any quality issues.
  • Coordinate measuring tools by determining the appropriate tool to measure quality and ensure calibration. Work with the production team to implement any new testing criteria or assembly methods.
  • Create documentation, such as quality manuals and procedures, and establish requirements for records management, document control and control of electronic data from inspection processes.
  • Lead teams capable of understanding and resolving identified issues and gaining buy-in to see that processes are executed flawlessly during audits.
  • Act as subject matter expert regarding Quality matters and policies
  • Use a business management system for the integration of business process management (BPM) and techniques with improvement efforts (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Conduct data analyses and statistical assessments and derive insight intoprocess understanding for the purpose of reducing waste and defects.
  • Foster and enforce all company safety policies and procedures to achieve Target Zero vision

  • Create documentation that describes how processes are executed and how problems are detected. Should be able to effectively use Visio and work with teams to create processes and associated documentation.
  • Possesses industry-specific skills are also needed on top of a broad knowledge of Quality
  • Be seen by others as having a high degree of credibility and expertise with the ability to lead up, down and across functional areas.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Engineering experience in a large capital equipment environment preferred
  • Certification from American society for Quality ASQ such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) a plus
  • Working knowledge of Third party audit requirements and quality improvement tools/techniques
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database programs in a Windows environment. Oracle and/or SAP experience preferred.
