Schenck employees giving thumbs up

The next giant leap in balancing

First Schenck Digital Summit: with an eye on the overall process

The motto of the first Schenck Digital Summit was “The next giant leap in balancing—Anyone. Anywhere. Anytime.” Over a period of three days, Schenck presented the new generation of its PASIO universal balancing machines and the Schenck ONE software solutions to interested parties from all over the world. The advantage for users: They can thus increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Schenck no longer regards new machines as self-contained objects, but as part of an overall process. Topics such as data storage, interfaces or even logging are thus easily integrated and made accessible. This is also reflected in the product design with its innovative features in the next generation of PASIO. The new series of this well-established balancing machine also has a larger screen and a more powerful industrial PC that speeds up calculations and provides immediate feedback to the operator through short response times. An IoT gateway plays an important role as a communication interface.

During a “software deep dive”, the Schenck team of experts presented the current Schenck ONE software solutions. On the new PASIO machines these replace the previously very successful CAB820/920 series of measuring devices.

Apps for the entire balancing process

The new integrated software solutions are the answer to the current developments on the market and to the challenges for Schenck’s customers. Along the entire balancing process, a total of nine apps can be used on the machine or in the browser: from work preparation to production on the machine, the subsequent storage of balancing results and the evaluation of machine key figures, to support in the maintenance and servicing of the machines.

As a traditional company and world market leader, we are shaping the future of balancing.

Jörg Brunke , member of the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG

The final part of the event was dedicated to “Digitalization and Innovation”. In addition to other application examples for the Schenck ONE software solutions, the focus was on how agile development and customer-specific requirements complement each other. The team also showed how Schenck actively supports customers in their daily business with its “Service 4.0”.

“Once again, we have proven: As a traditional company and world market leader, we are shaping the future of balancing,” states Jörg Brunke, member of the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG.
